چکیده

Organic molecules that are active in the near-infrared (NIR) bio-window for photo-to-heat energy-converting theranostics have attracted much attention cancer therapy. However, current organic NIR-absorbing still suffering from inefficient non-radiative decay or serious photobleaching under light irradiation. Herein, we design a convenient strategy to load new kind of nonlinear optical (NLO) chromophore FTC-3f with biocompatible polymer, methoxy poly(ethylene glycol)-poly(lactideco-glycolide) (mPEG-PLGA). The resulted FTC-3f/PLGA nanoparticles showed excellent stability, high photothermal conversion efficiency (∼51.11%) and good photoacoustic performance. Moreover, vitro anticancer experiments demonstrated possess PTT (photothermal therapy) NIR laser This work thus provides an insight into exploration versatile toward future practical application.

Organic light-emitting diodes with integrated inorganic photo detector for near-infrared optical up-conversion

We report a hybrid up-conversion device integrating a In0.2Ga0.8As/GaAs MQWs photodetector with an organic light emitting diode (OLED), that converts input 980 nm infrared light to output 520 nm green light. Devices with different interface layer, used as the hole injection layer (HIL) in OLEDs were fabricated and tested. It was found that the device with an HIL of MoO3-doped CuPc exhibited a l...

Multispectral imaging in the extended near-infrared window based on endogenous chromophores.

To minimize the problem with scattering in deep tissues while increasing the penetration depth, we explored the feasibility of imaging in the relatively unexplored extended near infrared (exNIR) spectral region at 900 to 1400 nm with endogenous chromophores. This region, also known as the second NIR window, is weakly dominated by absorption from water and lipids and is free from other endogenou...

Exploiting few mode-fibers for optical time-stretch confocal microscopy in the short near-infrared window.

Dispersive fiber is well-regarded as the most viable candidate for realizing efficient optical time-stretch process--an ultrafast spectroscopic measurement technique based on the wavelength-to-time mapping via group velocity dispersion (GVD). Despite optical time-stretch has been anticipated to benefit a wide range of high-throughput biomedical diagnoses, the lack of commercially-available disp...

Optical Imaging of the Motor Cortex in the Brain in Order to Determine the Direction of the Hand Movements Using Functional Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (fNIRS)

Introduction: In recent years, optical imaging has attracted a lot of attention from scholars as a non- aggressive, efficient method for evaluating the activities of the motor cortex in the brain. Functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS (is a tool showing the hemodynamic changes in a cortical area of the brain according to optical principles. The present study has been de...
